The apex of the Valorant Champions Tour calendar – Champions – is just mere weeks away. Soon, the top teams from all over the world will flock to Istanbul to take part in the most important tournament of the year, and developer Riot Games has now revealed in a new explainer who will be taking on who during the Group Stage of the competition.

In tried and tested fashion, the Champions Group Stage – which will take place from August 31 to September 13 – will feature four randomly-sorted groups of four teams. During this stage teams will play best-of-threes in a double-elimination bracket until only the top two emerge.

From September 16-18, Group Stage victors will head to the Finals, where they will duke it out for the right to call themselves the best in the world. Once again, best-of-threes will be played, apart from the Lower and Grand Finals which will both be best-of-fives – spicy.
