NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD wants help finding a woman who may have information about a July 24 murder in the Fair Grounds neighborhood.
Investigators say 25-year-old Shakeitha Johnson was killed in the 1600 block of Gentilly Boulevard. They believe 30-year-old Jamie Deshawna Bailey may have critical information about her death.
A friend of the victim discovered her unresponsive on the living room floor of the home. Officers said Johnson had been shot multiple times and died on the scene. Detectives said Johnson had been shot several hours before her body was discovered.
Police stress that Bailey is not a suspect. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
